Tommaso Baldanzi delivered one of his most decisive performances in a Genoa shirt, scoring once and creating another in a 2–0 victory over Juventus at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris.

Restored to Daniele De Rossi’s starting lineup, the Italian midfielder needed just 28 minutes to leave his mark on the match. He provided the delivery for Kingsley Ehizibue’s opening goal in the 12th minute before doubling Genoa’s advantage with a deflected finish inside the penalty area.

The performance highlighted the qualities that have made Baldanzi one of Italian football’s intriguing young attacking talents. His close control, movement between the lines and ability to operate in tight spaces gave Genoa a creative presence that Juventus struggled to contain.

For De Rossi, the victory carried additional significance against Luciano Spalletti, the manager who guided him through much of his playing career at Roma. For Genoa, it continued an encouraging recovery after a difficult start to the season, strengthening their position in Serie A with a third victory in four league matches.

For Baldanzi, the evening offered something equally important: an opportunity to demonstrate his influence from the opening whistle. Against one of Italy’s most established clubs, he provided the decisive contributions that shaped the result.
